If you’re looking for a type of shower caddy that you have multiple options to place it, go with an over-the-door shower caddy. Unlike other caddies, specifically the over-the-showerhead and corner ones, you can choose whether you want to place your over-the-door shower caddy on the shower enclosure’s door, on the shower curtain’s bar, on the bar where you hang your towels on, or also on the door of your bathroom. Moreover, over-the-door shower caddies are optimal for people who don’t like having a hanging and seemingly bulky metal or wooden frame hanging from your showerhead or those who don’t like to trouble themselves on assembling a corner shower caddy with a tension rod.
One of the best shower organizers this 2019 in my opinion, and also in the opinion of many customers who bought the product on Amazon, is the Zenna Home 7803SS, Over-the-Shower Door Caddy.
Like it’s over-the-showerhead and corner sisters, the Zenna Home 7803SS is made by Zenith Products Corporation or ZPC for short. Let’s not talk about ZPC too much in this shower caddy review because I explicitly expounded on the authoritativeness of the company on manufacturing bathroom products in two previous caddy reviews. But for the sake of it, and for those who haven’t read those two mentioned reviews, ZPC is an awesome company that makes awesome shower caddies.
The Zenna Home 7803SS naturally comes in a chrome finish, but you can also get the bronze version of the same product on another model for a few bucks more. The Heritage Bronze model of the Zenna Home 7803SS is a perfect addition for bathrooms with wooden bathroom pieces or at least wooden accents.

The flagship feature of the Zenna Home 7803SS is perhaps how its baskets or shelves function. The Zenna Home 7803SS’ shelves are made of sturdy heavy-gauge wires and are adjustable! There are multiple bars supporting the back of the over-the-door shower caddy where you can place your shelves depending on the height you need. This amazing feature eliminates the hindrance of buying big bottles of shower essentials in Costco because you have little clearance to fit those bottles in a hanging shower caddy that has fixed shelves. Aside from the shelves, I also think that the soap dish is adjustable, though I don’t know why someone would need an adjustable soap dish height unless they have a really big bar of soap. This “adjustable shelves feature” is unavailable in other shower caddies I reviewed so far. Thus, it makes the Zenna Home 7803SS a must-buy and a must-try.
Additionally, the Zenna Home 7803SS also has multiple hooks for a razor or toothbrush and also useful upward facing hooks where you can place your loofahs and washcloths.
For those worrying about their over-the-door shower caddy scratching their precious glass shower enclosure and the like, the Zenna Home 7803SS’ metal hooks have non-scratch covers. Subsequently, the hanging shower caddy also has suction cups provided to keep it firmly in place and prevent it from swaying.

Like Zenna Home’s corner shower caddy, I don’t own this product. I’m merely objectively curating reviews in the Amazon e-commerce website and listing them here for your convenience to help you with your purchasing decision. Hence, ZPC or Amazon did not pay or sponsor this review. Below are the over-the-door shower caddy’s pros:
- It’s an over-the-door shower caddy. Several reviews on Amazon that gave the Zenna Home 7803SS good reviews said that they liked the “over-the-door” concept which doesn’t involve the shower caddy hanging from your showerhead or installed through a tension rod.
- It has adjustable shelves! The mere fact that this shower caddy has adjustable shelves will make you want to try it. Other hanging shower caddies I reviewed like the Zenna Home 7402AL and AquaTeak’s spa teak shower caddy doesn’t have this nifty feature. Having adjustable shelves can add flexibility to the shower essentials you buy. For example, you can fit in your over-the-door shower caddy and save more money in the long run if you buy large bottles of shampoo and conditioners compared to purchasing small ones.

Mentioned below are the cons to the Zenna Home 7803SS shower caddy. Like the product’s pros, the con is again objectively curated from Amazon.com for the convenience of prospective buyers. It is in no way sponsored or paid by ZPC or Amazon.
- It’s not rustproof or rust-resistant for that matter. Many complaints about the hanging shower caddy, or all almost all complaints in that matter, reason out that the Zenna Home 7803SS rust pretty darn fast. Some reviews in Amazon recommended that buyers cover their over-the-door shower caddy with rustproofing products such as Rust-Oleum. A portion who followed the advice has success with it, but another portion said that even with rustproofing, the Zenna Home 7803SS still gets rust.
The Zenna Home 7803SS over-the-door shower caddy will get two stars out of five from me because it rusts. The over-the-door concept is great, plus the adjustable shelves feature is also equally great, but the mere fact that the product rusts quickly is a major red flag for me. I don’t want rust stains to spill on my clear white tiled floor because of the fatal flaw of the over-the-door shower caddy. But for those who still want to buy this hanging shower caddy because of its features, I recommend painting the Zenna Home 7803SS with a matte black or white finish depending on the motif of your bathroom. A matte black or a white hanging shower caddy. So cool!
